Built in 1830, this Wada that’s easily over 200 years old, was painstakingly restored to its original glory. Standing tall on its original built of teakwood, brick and mortar, every corner of the this pet-friendly villa in Alibaug unfolds the historical events it holds within its walls; take a step into the estate and witness its enriching legacy unravel.

What makes this home special?
- The Bene Israelis fled Israel and came to India more than 2200 years ago where they got shipwrecked in Nagaon, a small fishing village on Maharashtra’s Konkan coast. They sought help from the local Koli community and made Alibaug their new home. This led to a unique hybrid community, born out of interesting historical events and a seamless intermingling of cultures. A famous Jewish legend is believed to have taken place in the small village of Sagaon and thus was born a fascinating story around this little community.
- Built in 1830, the home was acquired by the homeowners in 1982 and has been restored to its original charm.
- Painted in rich history, every part of the home has its story to tell: in fact, the well located in the backyard was known to be the only water source in the vicinity at one point.

Outside food is not allowed in the villa.
Pets are strictly not allowed in the pool.
Guests are not allowed to access the kitchen except for infants with prior permission.
Guests cannot invite other guests and day visitors during their stay.
Bachelor groups & stag parties are not allowed.
We do not encourage parties and late-night revelry. Loud music is not permitted beyond 10 pm.
Consumption of alcohol is permitted only within limits.
Illegal activities including but not limited to carrying/consuming drugs/narcotics and carrying firearms/weapons are prohibited on the property. Management reserves the right to report any such activities to local authorities.
Smoking within the villa/rooms is prohibited.
The pool (if present) is unguarded. There is no lifeguard on site. Children in the pool must be accompanied by adults at all times.
Guests are requested to take care of all personal valuables. Management is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to any items.
As required by law, every guest must carry government-approved photo ID proof, that shows the address. We accept only Aadhar Cards, Driving Licenses, and Passports.
Inappropriate behavior or violation of any of the above House Rules will invite a polite refusal to accept a Booking. If already checked in, Management reserves the right to ask guests to leave.
In case of special occasions like wedding and pre wedding ceremonies, milestone celebrations and events, and similar such events that require the parts or entire estate, whether they require elaborate arrangements or not, are at the sole discretion and explicit permission of the management. These need to be informed at the time of booking, and additional venue charges, additional deposits and charges for time efforts and specialised skills needed for prior arrangements and post event cleanup will apply.
