About This Villa
- Suvarna Sangam is a beautiful retreat in Udupi, featuring five river-facing rooms on a serene 4-acre river island. overlooking the Suvarna River. Perfect for nature lovers, this pet-friendly getaway is a 90-minutes (62 km) drive from Mangalore Airport and 25 minutes (6 km) away from Udupi Railway Station.
- The estate consists of 5-bedrooms named Shambhavi, Sharavathi, Mainavathi, Netravathi and Vedavathi based on the names of the rivers that flow in confluence.
- Located just 20 minutes away from famous tourist attractions like Delta Beach Backwaters (6.5 km) and Delta Point (8 km). Guests can also explore the famous St. Mary’s Island (17 km) which overs panoramic views of the Arabian Sea.
Homestay Layout & Shared Spaces:
- Villa 2 (First floor): Sharavathi, is a deluxe room on the first floor with an ensuite bathroom that can comfortably accommodate up to 3 guests. With comfy interiors, the room overlooks the breathtaking Suvarna River.
- Villa 2 (First Floor): On the first floor, opposite Sharavathi & Shambhavi lies Mainavathi, a spacious deluxe suite with an ensuite bathroom and a deck, suitable for a small family or friends group.
- Suvarna Sangam (Vedavathi) & Suvarna Sangam (Netravathi) are situated on the ground floor of the home. On the first floor, you can find Suvarna Sangam (Shambhavi). Each with an ensuite bathroom and a shared livingarea and a shared dining space (Annapoorna).
- While pets are not allowed in the dining area, we’re happy to provide your furry babies meals at an additional charge, so your furry friends can enjoy their own meal while you dine!
- Experience a truly romantic candlelight dinner on the private deck that offers spectacular views of the backwaters. If you’re lucky, you may come across a fisherman and could ask for the catch of the day!
- Make the most of your stay here by exploring the Suvarna backwaters in the owner’s private speedboat (Irena – Goddess of Peace) at an additional cost.
- The pristine Malpe and Kaup beaches, known for scuba diving and water sports, are very close to home. Known for their unusual formation, St. Mary’s Islands is only an hour away from the home. Only 20 minutes drive from the villa, is the Shri Krishna Mutt Temple in Udupi.
- Rent a vehicle for INR 2000 and use it for up to 12 hours and 250 kms. If you need to go further, it’s just INR 12 per extra km. A great deal for your day of adventure.

The home is located close to the popular touristy spots, Malpe Beach and Kaup Beach, both half an hour from the home. Both the beaches offer scuba diving and water sports.
If you need a vehicle to get around, we have got you covered. At a cost depending upon your travel plans, we have vehicles available for you!
The Bengre Beach is where the Suvarna River meets the Arabian Sea and is an absolute visual treat, situated only 15 minutes from the home.
The Maravanthe Beach is 3 kms. stretch (30 minutes drive) from the home with the Suvarna River and the Arabian Sea on either side of the National Highway. Imagine driving along this scenic route!
St. Mary’s Island, another famous site, is just an hour from the villa.
Shri Krishna Mutt Temple in Udupi is a 30 minutes drive from the villa. The Sringeri Shri Devi Temple and the Mukambika Shri Devi Temple are 90 minutes each.
Guests can hire the speedboat at an additional cost of Rs. 3,500 (one round) and explore the backwaters.

House Rules
Outside food is not allowed in the villa.
Guests are not allowed to access the kitchen except for infants with prior permission.
Pets are not allowed in the dining area
Pet charges of 1000 rs per pet will be collected at the property.
Guests cannot invite other guests and day visitors during their stay.
Bachelor groups & stag parties are not allowed.
We do not encourage parties and late-night revelry. Loud music is not permitted beyond 10 pm.
Consumption of alcohol is permitted only within limits.
Illegal activities including but not limited to carrying/consuming drugs/narcotics and carrying firearms/weapons are prohibited on the property. Management reserves the right to report any such activities to local authorities.
Smoking within the villa/rooms is prohibited.
The pool (if present) is unguarded. There is no lifeguard on site. Children in the pool must be accompanied by adults at all times.
Guests are requested to take care of all personal valuables. Management is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to any items.
As required by law, every guest above 4 years must carry government-approved photo ID proof, that shows address. We accept only Aadhar Cards, Driving Licenses and Passports.
Inappropriate behaviour or violation of any of the above House Rules will invite a polite refusal to accept a Booking. If already checked in, Management reserves the right to ask guests to leave.
No crackers or colours are permitted in this home.
All payments for booking the villa, including meals will have to be pre-paid prior to checkin. Security Deposit collected during booking will be returned during check-out or by NEFT within 5 business days after check-out, provided no damages are observed. To avoid inconvenience, we will not be accepting cash onsite for any reasons henceforth.
Security deposit is to be paid two days prior to check-in. If no damages are observed, the deposit will be returned during check-out itself or by NEFT within 5 business days after check-out. Please Note: The Security Deposit is subject to change depending upon the number of nights and the group size. Please check with your holiday advisor at the time of booking.
In case of special occasions like wedding and pre wedding ceremonies, milestone celebrations and events, and similar such events that require the parts or entire estate, whether they require elaborate arrangements or not, are at the sole discretion and explicit permission of the management. These need to be informed at the time of booking, and additional venue charges, additional deposits and charges for time efforts and specialised skills needed for prior arrangements and post event cleanup will apply.
